Child Protection Training

On Tuesday, October 7 there will be a very important joint meeting of the following Duluth Rotary Club Committees that work directly or indirectly with youth: Youth Exchange, Youth and Community, and Jr. Rotarian. The meeting is open to the entire membership.

Marty Byrnes, a member of the North Shore Rotary Club, will conduct a 45 minute training session on Abuse and Harassment Prevention Training. The Abuse and Harassment Prevention Training is designed to help Rotarians provide a safe and secure environment for youth. In previous years not all of these committees were included in this training. Club 25, with direction from the District, is in the process of establishing a policy and procedure for which committees’ members should be required to attend this training. The training is designed to protect both the youth and the Rotarians. It is a very important training and we highly encourage all committee members to attend this training.

Please let Patty or Debby know if you would like to attend. A buffet lunch will be served and we must give the Radisson a meal count.

Thanks!
