With Board approval, The Membership Development has developed a new program …the Rising Star program. Here’s what it offers new Rotarians under 35 years of age:  

• Half-price on membership initiation (Rising Star fee – just $100)

• Half-price on membership dues for up to two years (or when member turns 35 years old, whichever comes first).

• The opportunity to join other community leaders in service projects that address the critical issues of children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy and violence.

• The opportunity to participate in support programs for youth, educational and international exchanges for students, teachers and other professionals, and vocational and career development.

If you know of a Rising Star in the community who believes in the Rotarian philosophy of Service Above Self, please contact the Rotary Office for a membership application.  
 

The Board also emphasized that by reducing fees, we were not reducing our membership standards. Membership will continue to be offered only to those who have demonstrated leadership ability in their profession and in the community.
