DEFINITIONS OF OUR COMMITTEES
ROTARY CLUB OF DULUTH

Athletic Plans sporting events for the club such as the golf outing, Fish & Game dinner, and fishing trips.
Budget & Finance Establishes the budget and assists in keeping the committees on the budget.
Bulletin & Roster Oversees the weekly club bulletin and the club directory.
Calling Calls on members confined in the hospital or at home.
Commissary & House Negotiates lease, physical arrangements and luncheon menu for the club.
Environment Works to improve environment through contributions of time and money from the club.
Fellowship Gives the weekly fellowship report, serves as greeters and at the registration desk.
Gimlet Weekly bulletin explaining the past and future activities of the club.
Grants With a focus on youth, this committee gifts to local groups that support the aims of Rotary.
International Service Supports, sponsors, and hosts the international high school students, group study exchange teams and develops special projects in the international area.
Invocation Gives the invocation at meetings and at special functions.
Junior Rotarian Each month one student from each of the area high schools is our guest, who is selected by their school.
Membership Screens proposed members for character, standing in their vocation, etc. and assigns classifications. Regularly checks member's attendance and develops methods to keep attendance at the highest level possible.
Program Plans the weekly programs based on interest and concern of the club.
Rose Plans the annual rose sale fund raiser- subcommittee of Ways & Means.
Rotary Foundation Nominates students for Rotary Foundation Scholarships and promotes Rotary Foundation donations, i.e. Paul Harris Fellows, Benefactors, etc.
Rotary Information & P.R. Organizes the "Fireside Meetings" which orientates new members to Rotary and disseminates information to Rotary members and the community.
Sergeant-at-Arms Assures that arrangements are in order for each meeting, including room arrangements, lighting and audio.
Special Events Plans special programs for the year, including theater, party, conferences, club anniversaries, and holiday parties.
Special Issues Deals with ad-hoc issues that affect the club, yet do not fall within one of the established committees.
Vocational Service Supports youth in career mentoring and promotes special programs on vocations of the club, including a vocational tour of businesses.
Ways & Means Raises funds to support the other committees charitable grants.
Westmoreland
Foundation
Our local 501c3 foundation to support philanthropic activities of our club.
Youth Exchange Works with inbound and outbound study exchange students.
Youth & Community Services Seeks to discover hands-on projects in which  the club members can participate.
